How To French Braid‏‎

Take after THESE STEPS

Brush hair

Before twisting, brush hair to smooth out any bunches or tangles.

Accumulate hair at top of head; partition into three segments

Beginning at the hairline, accumulate enough hair from top of head to begin a standard plait. Separate hair into three equivalent areas. Hold right area in right hand, left segment in left hand, and center segment amongst thumb and another finger of either hand.

Cross the segments

To start plait, traverse center segment, then rehash this move with left area, smoothing hair down as you go. Pull areas genuinely tight; you don't need the twist to be free and come unraveled.

Add hair to the segment

Before rehashing your traverse movement with the right segment, accumulate a smidgen of extra hair from the head's correct side, and add it to this area; now cross this bigger segment of hair over the center segment of the plait.

Tip: Make beyond any doubt that the areas of hair you're including are generally equivalent or the interlace will look disproportionate.

Include hair to the segment the opposite side

Accumulate a little segment (of equivalent size to the one you simply assembled) of the rest of the hair on the left half of your head up and into the left area and traverse the center segment.

Tip: Slightly grimy hair has less "slip," making it less demanding to mesh.

Rehash including hair and intersection areas

Rehash steps 4 and 5, including hair until you've assembled in all extra hair strands. Complete at the base with a consistent interlace.

Secure the interlace toward the end with a band

When you achieve the base of the interlace, secure the end with a hair band, wrapping it firmly around the hair.
